4 Days Uganda Bird Watching Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Mabamba Swamp and Luxury Birding Experience

Tourists will be met by a professional Verdant Safaris guide and transferred to Mabamba Swamp on the shores of Lake Victoria, one of Uganda’s most celebrated birding destinations. The morning excursion begins with a luxury canoe birding experience through papyrus channels where tourists search for the legendary shoebill stork, one of Africa’s most sought after bird species. The swamp ecosystem supports numerous water birds including African jacanas, malachite kingfishers, papyrus gonoleks and herons. The tranquil boat excursion provides excellent opportunities for photography while enjoying the beautiful wetland scenery. After the birding activity, tourists enjoy lunch before relaxing at a premium lodge near Entebbe. The evening is reserved for leisure and a gourmet dinner overlooking Lake Victoria.

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Evening Birding Safari

After breakfast, tourists depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s premier Savannah ecosystem and one of East Africa’s finest birding destinations. The scenic drive passes through rolling hills, crater lakes and rural landscapes before reaching the park. Upon arrival and lunch at the lodge, tourists embark on an evening bird watching excursion through selected habitats including grasslands, wetlands and woodland areas. Bird enthusiasts may encounter species such as African fish eagles, martial eagles, saddle billed storks, bee eaters and numerous kingfisher species. Day 3: Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise and Bird Watching Excursion
